Body (30 minutes):

1.    Verbal Communication:

2.    Non-Verbal Communication:

·        Explore the importance of body language, facial expressions, and gestures in communication.

·        Show video clips demonstrating good and bad examples of non-verbal communication.

·        Conduct a group activity where students practice positive non-verbal communication.

3.    Written Communication:

·        Briefly touch on the importance of written communication in various settings.

·        Provide handouts with tips on effective written communication.

·        Have students practice writing a short message or email in a professional manner.

4.    Role-Playing Exercise:

·        Divide the class into pairs or small groups.

·        Assign different communication scenarios (e.g., resolving conflicts, giving constructive feedback).

·        Allow students to role-play and practice effective communication skills.

Conclusion (10 minutes):

  • Review the key points covered in the lesson.
  • Discuss real-life examples of effective communication and its positive outcomes.
  • Assign a homework task related to practicing communication skills in their daily lives.

Assessment:

  • Observe students during the role-playing exercise to assess their application of communication skills.
  • Review written assignments for proper use of written communication skills.
